Benefice Links and Resources

The parishes of the benefice support the work of African International Christian Ministry (AICM) which ministers principally in Uganda and neighbouring countries.

For full information of the work of AICM see the new AICM website.

Each year in May parishioners take part in the Christian Aid Week collection. Collections are made in the churches at other times of the year for particular emergency appeals through Christian Aid as the need arises.

Details can be found on the Christian Aid Website.

Details of the German Protestant Church Congress (Kirchentag) to be held in Bremen from 20th-24th May 2009 and the next Ecumenical (Protestant and Roman Catholic) Kirchentag in Munich from 12th to 16th May 2010 can be found here.

Many people are now busily researching their ancestry using church records among other sources. The Cambridgeshire Family History Society has now completed the transcription of all the parochial registers of the parishes of Fen Drayton, Conington, Lolworth and Swavesey and offers CDs of these registers for sale to those interested. The CFHS has also made studies of many local family names across parish boundaries. The Cambridgeshire Family History Society website can be found at www.cfhs.org.uk.

A personal survey of the Churches of Cambridgeshire can be found on the Cambridgeshire Churches Website.
